Hello! My name is Lukan! I’m a very smart boy and I love nothing more than attention!

History- Lukan was found as a stray and was taken to a local shelter where no family came to get him and he was faced with euthanasia. He has been in our care since February of 2024.

Personality- Lukan is very smart and has been known to let himself through paddle handled doors. He knows most basic commands and is eager to please for treats and attention. Lukan loves to share your bed and likes to burrow his way under the covers.

Cohabitation- Lukan loves running and playing with other dogs. He has not been tested with cats. He loves most people, but does at times require slow introductions. Once he is comfortable, he is a very cuddly love bug who likes to sit on your lap or lay next to you on the couch or bed.

Favorite Activities- Running and playing in the yard, earning treats with basic commands, cuddling up under the blankets on your bed.

Medical- Lukan may have experienced some trauma to his throat at some time in his life. He coughs or gags if he pulls against the leash. A harness can be more comfortable for him for leash walks than a collar. This does not bother him when eating, drinking, barking, etc. It is only noticeable when pulling at the leash. He is otherwise in perfect health.
