Penny

Hello! My name is Penny, I had a very rough start in life, but I am beginning to learn how to enjoy it to the fullest!

History- Penny was found abandoned on a property. She was very scared and very pregnant. She gave birth within a week after making it to her foster. Once the stress of raising her babies was over, Penny began to blossom. She has been in our care since January of 2024.

Personality- Penny will take some time to warm up to new people and places. But once you fully have her trust, she will thank you with wiggles and cuddles. Penny likes to have a secure place she can call her own when she feels like she needs it, such as a solid plastic crate, or under a bed. When she's happy and feeling secure, she loves attention and being loved on. This is especially true first thing in the morning when it's about time to get out of bed.

Cohabitation- Penny is good with all people once you give her time and gain her trust. We believe Penny will do fine with cats and she absolutely loves other dogs.

Favorite Activities- Penny is at her happiest when she can run and play in the yard with other dogs. She enjoys cuddling in bed with her trusted human. She loves treats and pets, but does like to have some space and peace at times. Penny will make a wonderful companion for someone who understands her and will give her the time she needs to trust and love you back.
